I think that the death of his Doodle had a somewhat positive effect on his brother. I think that because of this event his brother will begin to value himself and people more than he has in the past. The mean things he did to his brother, like making him touch the coffin, I don't think he will do that to anyone anymore.
I agree with almost everyone, this will effect the brother for the rest of his life. Something like that doesn't really go away. The brother is probably going to have post dramatic stress syndrom.
Doodle’s death will affect his brother in that it will be hard for him to deal with especially when I think he could have probably have done something to help me and now he will have to live with the death of his brother.
I think that the older brother will regret it forever. He knows that he could have prevented it. His ambitions were too high for his brother and Doodle couldn't keep up. he was too afraid to have a crippled brother that he would be willing to leave him behind rather than facing the reality.
I think that doodles death will have a negativie effect because maybe he feels that it was his fault because he kept running when his brother needed him. and it would never be easy loosing a brother or sister.
I agree with Zoe. I think that he will think for the rest of his life that it's his fault that Doodle is dead. He'll feel guilty about it forever and he lost his brother so he's obviously going to be sad. I'm mean, Doodle was something that he was proud of. It said in the book that he was proud of him. So I think the effect will defiantly be negative.
No matter how mad you are at your brother you always love them. I dispise my brother isaac but if he died I couldn't go on and would miss him every day. so I think it would be horrible for doodle's brother if he died.
I think that he might not have as big of a guilt issue because it seemed obvious that Doodle would eventually die. It was pretty obvious since he was expected to diefrom birth. Also, in the beginning, the way it started pretty much made his death obvious.
