I think that the question be can be answered both ways. Some of our choices rdo rely on instinct but some go hand in hand with our hearts. Choices that have to deal with love and relationships go with our hearts. But other choices rely on our instinct like doing the right thing. Like in lady and the tiger I believe that the door was opened and the tiger attacked. But again the story has both choices that ended at witht eh tiger.

I agree with david that it can be answered in two ways.
Our hearts desire a lot of things like love, honesty, friendship, success, etc. Choices we make are based on the activties that are surrounding us.
For example: Person A wants Person B to go and do something bad and Person B doesn't want to. What choice does he make? The choice he makes is based on his heart's desire or his instincts.

I strongly agree with David and Garrett. The question can rely on both hand in hand with your heart and first instincts, because it's your feelings and thoughts towards a situation. Just like there are different points of views there are different reactions to fate, depending on the situation. I think that I would personally rely hand in hand with my heart's desire if it were a feeling situation or a desire of mine. But on the other hand if it were a mental game or test I would have to go with my instincts of common sense or past stories and situations I have learned from or have had to overcome.

In my opinion i think that they both help you make desicions. But, in the book The Lady or the tiger, the young man in the story based his choice off of what the princess told him. He could have made the decision to ignore her, but based upon what he knew about the princess, and his instinct, he chose the door she told him to choose. So I think that instinct helps choices a lot easier than desire.

I think that first of all you need to know what you want, the lady or the tiger. Will fate give you what u desire or not? Should u trust the princess or not? It all has to do with your hearts desire and instinct. You have a 50/50 chance to get what you want. You can’t know what door will lead where or wich door the princess will chose for you. Can you know another person’s heart? Does luck follow our desires? I think you make your own luck. The only wrong choice is to not pick a door.

I think that fate goes hand in hand with our hearts desire because if you want something so much and you are willing to work hard for it, you can accomplish just about anything. The kind of choices that we make are important and must be realistic in order to achieve the desired outcome but desire is more important.

There is really not much left for me to say after what i have read in the posts before me. Both play a big factors in our decision making/fate i would say though are fate relies a loton instincts thn anything thing. You'd be suprised how far you could get in life just on having some lucky/great instincts.

I think it is really what you want it to be. If you think fate does what your heart desires then go ahead and belive that. Although I think instinct is the better choice because your heart doesn’t know what it wants. My heart desires a ferrari but tomorrow I might desire something else. So I don’t think my heart desires control fate. Fate is really unpredictable and nothing really can control it.

I think that fate goes hand in hand with both, our hearts desire and our choices also rely on our instincts because if you want something you can grasp it if you really desire it. Also, I think that our choices rely on our insticnts because sometimes we don't really think and do what we think is right and what comes first.

I belive that our choices do rely on our instincts because we could want to open one door and get what we want or we could open another door and get something that we didn't even wish to see. Your instincts are usually the right choice for you because I do belive in karma. That if you do good things than good things will come to you.

I also believe that fate goes hand in hand with our hearts desire because some people would literally die for someone or even something that is treasured in their lives so that person could go through the rest of their life.

I agree with David, Garrett and Kayla. If you love something so much you will go with your hearts desire. Your hearts desire will affect your instincts. No matter if it is your heart's desire or your instincts, fate goes with them both. So the princess was probably going with both instincts and heart’s desire.

I believe that you can answer this question either way. The story we read in class was a good example. Some of our choices rely on instinct (like choosing between the two doors. But a majority go hand in hand with our hearts. Things more important to us like, family or love go with our hearts. The questions that dont matter to us as much go on instict. If I had to pick a door I would go with my heart. I believe if you try hard enough you can get anything.

I think our fate is based on our choices and instincts. Every action we do leads up to another action that takes place. But we have to choose what action we do so the next action is a good one not a bad one

Wow! What a good question! There to me are two ways to look at it.

One way to look at it is to look at it like how Murphy would: that you get the exact opposite of what your heart desires.

Another way to look at it, which I believe, is that instinct has the main role in decisions. It's as if there is something inside us that tells what to do.

I think this question can really go either way. I think in a way our decisions will always be based somewhat on our hearts desire, but at the same time everyone has instints that they want to follow. In some cases our hearts desire is truly our instinct.

I think that your instincts and your heart's desire control your fate. Some decisions you make may be on instinct, but others may be made going on your heart's desire. The fact that the decision can be made by either thing is what makes up fate. Since each person is going to use one or the other to make a decision, and the fact that their instincts and hearts desires differ from one another, means that in some sense we control our own fate.

I thing their one in the same. Because, you instincts relys on your heart and what you think is right.
